A domestic lens on a technical subject
Jumbinordicgadgt is an independent information website about commercial space habitat design. We write for architects, workspace planners, students and curious readers who want to understand how living and working requirements affect a future orbital environment.
Our central proposition is straightforward: ordinary routines reveal extraordinary design constraints. A missing storage location, an unavoidable noise source or a poorly placed service panel can influence daily life long after the launch has faded from view.
How we frame a concept
We organise each study around the inhabitant’s day. We ask what someone needs to do, which systems support that activity and what trade-offs follow. We distinguish established flight experience from ground testing and proposed capability. Illustrations explain spatial relationships; they are not construction documents or evidence of safety.
We do not publish rankings based on undisclosed performance estimates. Nor do we assume that announced dimensions, destinations or schedules will remain unchanged. Readers making technical, financial or travel decisions should consult current primary documentation and appropriately qualified professionals.
